Not-So-Empty-Nesters
One of the evident social trends among homeowners is the accommodation of adult children and/or retired parents within the family home, but apart form the central family living area. Whether it’s a “bachelor pad” or a “granny flat”, some families are finding compatible ways to allow young adults to stay home longer in a more self-sufficient environment, while others are providing support for their senior family members without threatening their independence.
